The Lincolnwood Dream
New Beginnings Church owns 20 acres on Badger Road and we have been waiting for the timing of our dream to develop the property into a community. We believe that moving to the JP Jones Center is the first step as we gather fellow dreamers and put the plan into motion. We have said “YES!” to God and we believe that we get to do this with Him! This is our wild dream!
A drive through coffee stand to provide employment for residents with Badger Road frontage for ease of access.
One acre gravel pit to become a lake, with an adjoining three acres for garden, playground, and recreation area. We will harvest the gravel for roads, foundations, and sale.
Five acres will be home to a Community Center to include meeting spaces, counseling/ministry offices, recreation (maybe even a skate park), laundry, and shower facilities, as well as an adequate parking lot.
A gated residential area for the security of residents. Universal access to and in houses for those who need handicap access. Ten acres in a combination of privately owned and rental homes.
Our congregation includes individuals and families who have been impacted by addiction and mental health conditions that has made housing during recovery a challenge. We believe in a continuum of care that means following incarceration, emergency housing, hospitalization, and/or treatment that the houseless find a sober community to continue the recovery journey with support and relationship.
That is the dream… we make our plans and God directs our steps! We are seeking partners, funders, workers, and those who would build homes there.
